Dwayne Johnson sets the internet on fire again

While promoting the upcoming Hercules at this year’s CinemaCon, Dwayne Johnson had some interesting things to say about any involvement he may have in a DC Universe Movie.

When asked if he had been considered to play John Stewart/Green Lantern, The Rock explained that he had been in discussions with DC for many years and there is a “mutual interest” in finding the right character for him.

Then the fun began. Johnson told of his love of Superheroes and asked “What would the right character be?”. It turns out the megastar has some strict rules regarding this.

The 3 things on The Rock’s Superhero check list are:

“The first quality we were looking for is that he had to be extremely complex and have a lot going on and what that does for me as an actor and for the studio, just gives us space that we can explore his complexities.

The other quality is that the character we were looking for had to be well known but never brought to life. That does, again as an actor, is that it gives me a little bit of space and it just gives me a chance to put an imprint into his personality with the set of tools that I can bring to the table and put a very unique twist on his personality but still pay homage to who he is.

The third thing and most important is that he had to be a badass mother*****r and on a Superman level of power where he could throw down.”

Many believe that the one DC character that fits into those categories is Lobo. Johnson took to Twitter to add more fuel to the fire. He took John Stewart out of the running as a Green Lantern movie has already been made, and teased us further:

So Black Adam it is then. Maybe. Or its Robin. Yeah totally Robin.
